Soully ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Soully mobile app.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

You may provide, or we may derive from your inputs:

  • Profile details you enter:
    • first name
    • last name / nickname
    • birth date and optional birth time
    • tone preferences and app settings
  • Chat messages and conversation content you send to the app.
  • Optional social sign-in data from Google or Apple (for account sign-in), including basic account identifiers.

1.2 Information collected automatically

We may automatically collect:

  • Device-related technical information (for app integrity and anti-abuse)
  • App usage behavior (screen views, feature usage, interactions, crashes, performance)
  • Install identifiers (for API quota and abuse prevention)
  • Analytics identifiers generated by analytics SDKs
  • Crash and performance telemetry (errors, stack traces, app state)
  • Notification permission state and scheduling settings

1.3 Data sent to our backend services

For chat, compatibility, and analysis features, we send your profile context and message/request data to our backend APIs.

For in-app purchases, we send:

  • product details
  • purchase receipts/tokens
  • account linkage identifiers used to reconcile entitlement with your account

We do not request or store full payment card details in the app.

2. Third-Party Services

We use trusted service providers to operate the app, including:

  • Firebase (Google): authentication, analytics, crash reporting, performance, app integrity checks, installation identifiers.
  • PostHog: analytics tracking.
  • Google/Apple: sign-in providers (if you use social login).
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: billing and subscription management.
  • soully-api backend (our service) for AI- and astrology/numerology-related features.
  • AI model providers used by our backend for generated responses.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for:

  • App functionality and authentication
  • Personalizing user experience (e.g., saved profile, preferences, language/tone)
  • Generating readings and chat responses
  • Crash/error diagnosis and app stability monitoring
  • Feature and product analytics to improve the app
  • Subscription entitlement and account access control
  • Security, anti-abuse, and fraud prevention

We do not use information for targeted advertising or third-party marketing campaigns.

4. Advertising and Marketing Data

Soully currently does not serve third-party ads in-app.

App-related advertising-related toggles in settings are currently for consent management and are not used for ad-serving today.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share data only as needed with the service providers above, such as:

  • to authenticate users and secure sessions,
  • to analyze app usage and reliability,
  • to run required payment flows with app stores,
  • to deliver AI-generated features.

6. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

6.1 Local storage

Most profile/history/content data is stored locally on your device. Some local data stores may be encrypted using device key stores when available.

6.2 Retention

  • Certain history records are retained locally and may be pruned over time by app logic.
  • Crash/analytics/performance logs are retained by their provider platforms under their own policies.

6.3 Security

We use secure transport and avoid logging sensitive secrets in debug output by design.

7. Your Choices

7.1 Consent controls

  • You can update analytics/crash preferences from the app’s Privacy or Settings screens.
  • You can deny tracking-related permissions where applicable.

7.2 Data controls

  • Clear All Data: removes local profile/history/preferences data from the app.
  • Data export: allows you to export local data.
  • Delete account flow: removes local account data in-app. For backend entitlements/logs, contact support.

8. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13.

9. International Transfers

Information may be processed and stored in cloud regions used by third-party infrastructure providers.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by changing the Last Updated date above.
